We are excited to announce the addition of two new staff members to our veteran crew. Fishing & wilderness guide Adam Bernero and hospitality specialist Emily Trum. Want to know more about them? Check out RML staff page.
With the growing popularity of photography workshops, another has been added to the 2010 calendar. Hahn Nature Photography will be holding a “Grizzlies and the Alaska Wilderness” workshop August 6-11. This is the best time for photographing bears feasting on brilliantly-colored Sockeye Salmon. Reservations are still being taken. Click here for more information.
Nick Fucci Photography will also be returning to Redoubt Mountain Lodge for his 3rd annual photo safari. Nick’s workshop September 13-17 is nearly filled with only 2 remaining spots. Interested guests should click here to inquire immediately. Nick is also taking reservations for next year’s safari: September 12-16, 2011.
RML has added another option to our 2010 special packages. “Among the Bears” can be upgraded to include a day fly-out to a neighboring river. Not only will this flight take you to a Salmon-rich stream, but will also provide an incredibly scenic flight around Mt. Redoubt and the area glaciers. Click here to check out this option.
Silvers on spey rods anyone? Late September through early October will offer an opportunity for anglers looking to single & double spey for large, aggressive Coho Salmon. This time provides a river teaming with irritable Salmon and fat Arctic Char & Dolly Varden. Our fishery is excellent for swinging big flies! A few spey set-ups will join the rod rack for those interested in learning.
Also, just wanted to remind guests that RML does carry breathable chest waders. Feel free to bring your own or simply use ours.
Don’t forget about the pontoon boat addition to the RML fleet. With a customized canopy and side windows, total comfort will be had even on a rainy day. Now comes the difficult task of taking it all apart and flying it out to the lodge. Ever seen a plane with a boat strapped to the side of it? Just another day in the Alaska wilderness!
